The last race of this year for the University of Bologna Motorsport Team is set for the 25th September at the Enzo and Dino Ferrari Autodromo in Imola.
On this occasion, the motorbike team will hit the track to compete in the Moto Engineering Italy (MES). Last year the squad achieved a podium finish, fighting to the very end for the victory. This year, after months of hard work, it’s time to push and show the quality of the team trying to achieve another important result.
Minerva GN together with our rider Alessandro Berardi are ready to hit the track again to show the alchemy that has been consolidated for a year now. Alessandro is our driver since 2017 when our first electric motorbike was born, and has been competing with us for five years: we can count on an experienced driver who deserves our whole trust. The motorbike, which was a great protagonist with its victory at Aragòn in the Motostudent and its second place conquered at the home track, also features some improvements made by the students of the Alma Mater, on which they have been working throughout the year, carrying out on it many tests.
The race at Imola will take place from 25th to 30th September. Five days in which both the technical and practical characteristics of the project will be evaluated. In fact, in addition to the dynamic events that will see the electric motorbikes alternating between Brake, Acceleration and Gymkhana, there will also be the technical inspections to pass and the so-called Tech Talks, presentation in which the vehicle is exposed to the judges in technical terms. Then the action will move to the track where, in addition to the dynamic tests already mentioned, there will be both real free practice sessions and qualifying ones, the latter will make up the grid for Race 1 and Race 2, which will close the event.
UniBo Motorsport is preparing for the last round of a season that has proved to be very demanding, but equally satisfying considering the results achieved over the summer. After Formula Sae, the time to see the motorbike on track has come. As always, the team of the project – supported by Ducati Foundation and all the Partners who have invested and believed in it – are ready to give their 100% to achieve the best possible result.
