UBM and Lamborghini Squadra Corse: a collaboration that starts from passion

Unibo Motorsport and Lamborghini

Lamborghini Squadra Corse, in the automotive and non-automotive world, has always been synonymous of quality and passion.
We are honored to announce the start of the partnership between our team and the car manufacturer of Sant’Agata Bolognese.
Just in the Emilian frame on 7 July 2017, together with the Magnificent Rector of the University of Bologna Francesco Ubertini and the Chief Executive Officier of Automobili Lamborghini Stefano Domenicali, we celebrated the birth of the collaboration between the two realities.
As the latter underlined: “Ours is a company projected towards the future, with innovation and creativity that represent the predominant elements of our thinking. In the passion of young students we believe we can find these characteristics, and this is why we support and collaborate with the main universities around the world, starting from the University of our territory up to the most prestigious foreign institutions such as MIT in Boston.”

For us students of the UniBo Motorsport Team, this collaboration represents a unique growth opportunity, thanks to the possibility of meeting the Lamborghini Squadra Corse technicians and engineers. Last but not least, members of UniBo Motorsport have access to the laboratories of the Advaced Composite Lightweight Structures Departament to make some of the car’s carbon components, supported by the experience of the specialists from Sant’Agata Bolognese who guide them in the complex materials processing processes composites.
Furthermore, the Magnificent Rector also commented: “I am extremely happy with the collaboration between the racing department of Automobili Lamborghini and the UniBo Motorsport team. Accessing the laboratories of Sant’Agata, participating in the test days will be unique experiences for the kids, who will have the opportunity to deal with a reality of excellence in our area such as Lamborghini and which, I’m sure, will leave an indelible mark on the their professional careers of tomorrow.”

Formula Student Germany (Hockenheim, 8 – 13 August) and Formula Student Spain (Montmeló, 23 -27 August) will be the next races where our team will be tested!
