Like previous years, the UniBo Motorsport team from University of Bologna took part in qualifiers against hundreds of other universities to obtain entry to the international championship that will be held this summer. The whole team https://motorsport.unibo.it/ participated and excellent results were achieved with qualification achieved in most of the races.
The new combustion car, currently 4th in the Europe ranking and 13th in the global ranking, will take part in Formula SAE Italy https://www.formula-ata.it/ from the 12th to the 16th of July at the “Riccardo Paletti” Circuit in Varano De’ Melegari. In this race last year, Bologna came 4th overall. The team will then participate in Formula Student East https://fseast.eu/ on the Formula 1 circuit Hungaroring in Budapest between the 1st and 5th of August, followed by Formula Student Alpe Adria https://fs-alpeadria.com/in Croatia from 21-26 August.
The electric car will be competing to match and improve on last season’s results, which was the debut year, in the Formula SAE Italy and Formula Student Aple Adria alongside the combustion prototype. Moreover, it will participate from the 22nd to 27th of July in the ambitious Formula Student Austria https://fsaustria.at/ at the Red Bull circuit of Spielberg.
Racing an electric motorbike, the team will fight to keep the European champion title achieved in last season’s Moto Student competition which will be held this year at the Moto GP Motorland of Aragon https://www.motostudent.com/ from the 11th to 12th of October.
For this season the maintenance and protection of our vehicles www.tendapro.it/ and crew during tournaments is also taken care of with a gazebo. We have equipped the team with a large closeable gazebo that will enable the team members of UBM to work on the prototypes and will keep them protected from the weather, whether it’s heavy rainfall or excessive sun.
Also new for the current season is the logistic and warehouse department. In addition to the organization of the team’s tools and equipment at home base, it will handle the essential equipment and logistics on competition days. The team is happy to announce that with its expansion and the three projects it works on, this department highlights the progress the team has made over several years.
