The last race of the year for the University of Bologna Motorsport Team is scheduled for September 25th at the Autodromo Internazionale Enzo and Dino Ferrari in Imola.
On this occasion, the motorbike team will hit the track to compete in the Moto Engineering Italy (MES). Last year the squad achieved a podium finish, fighting until the last lap for the victory. After months of hard work, now it is time to push and show the quality of the team trying to achieve another important result.
Minerva GN and our rider Alessandro Berardi are ready to hit the track again together to show the alchemy that has been consolidated for a year now. Alessandro has been our driver since 2017, when our first electric motorbike was born, so he has been competing with us for five years now, that is why we can count on an experienced driver who deserves our full confidence. The motorbike was a great protagonist with its victory at Aragón in the Motostudent, and its second place at the home track. These results feature some improvements made by the Alma Mater’s students, who have been working on the motorbike throughout the year, also thanks to the many tests carried out.
The race in Imola will take place from September 25th to September 30th. Five days during which the technical and practical characteristics of the project will be evaluated. In addition to the dynamic events that will see the electric motorbikes alternating between Brake, Acceleration and Gymkhana, there will also be technical inspections to pass and the so-called “Tech Talks”, a presentation in which the vehicle is exposed to technical judges. Then the action will move to the track where, in addition to the dynamic tests already mentioned, there will be real free practice sessions and then qualifying sessions that will make up the grid for Race 1 and Race 2, which will close the event.
UniBo Motorsport is getting ready for the last round of the season, a very demanding season but at the same time very satisfying, given the results achieved over the summer. After Formula Sae, it is time to see motorbikes in action on the circuit. As always, the guys of the project supported by Ducati Foundation and all the Partners who have invested and believed in it are ready to give their 100% to achieve the best possible result.
