The Formula Student Austria competition has just concluded and featured the team’s electric car, eRBT-23, at Spielberg’s famous Red Bull Ring circuit.
Pre-inspections of the safety equipment began on July 23, along with critical technical inspections on the battery pack. The next day, however, the mechanical ones began, which ended on the 26th due to technical problems caused by the stringent and demanding scrutineering phase of the Austrian competition.
Instead, on July 25 the static tests took place: taking sixteenth for the Business Plan, thirty-second for the Design Event, and earning eleventh in the Cost Event.
Unfortunately, the race did not go as the team had hoped, but this is one of the most critical and complex competitions in Formula Student and it was a good starting point for defining the next steps ahead of the last race, Formula Student Alpe Adria.
In fact, UniBo Motorsport will be competing in Hungary from August 1-6 for Formula Student East with the combustion car, and in Croatia with both cars from the 21-26 of the same month for Formula Student Alpe Adria.
