UniBo Motorsport is pleased to announce that Ultimae LM, the team’s combustion car, has just finished its second race of the season, Formula Student East, held again this year at Hungary’s famous Hungaroring circuit.
The competition went on from the 1st up to the 5th of August.
The first day featured two of the three static tests, Cost & Manufacturing and Business Plan Presentation, where the team placed 14th and 8th respectively.
The next day, the team took on the Engineering Design test, which ended in 11th place. Tech Inspections, Tilt and Noise Test were also tackled and passed.
Then, on August 4, the team overcame the Brake Test, and with this the Dynamic scrutineering also concluded and the Dynamic tests commenced: namely the Acceleration, Skidpad and Autocross events, where the team took eighth, seventh and sixth place, respectively.
The last day, on the other hand, was devoted to the Endurance event, which saw the team take second place on the podium, while third place was earned for Efficiency, results that allowed the team to take second place overall.
“We couldn’t be happier with these results, the race in Hungary is definitely one of the toughest from a technical point of view and being able to get the podium in the dynamic tests is the result of a years worth of hard work from all team members. It was really a team effort and this podium proved it. We are very proud and now are looking forward to finishing the season on a high in Alpe Adria.” These are the words of Filip Damaschin, CTO of the combustion car, showing everyone’s hard work and happiness.
The team can only be satisfied with these achievements in one of the toughest competitions in Formula Student, and are looking forward to the last race of the season in Alpe Adria, together with the electric car, from August 21-26.
